Data management and process design – two sides of a management system
What the management system does is two things, one is the management of data, and the other is the design of the process.
1. Management of data
This is the most basic thing of a management system.
From CMS to CRM, to OMS, WMS, TMS, etc., the most basic thing of any management system is the management of data.
These data include user data, subject data (content data, product data, order data, etc. are collectively counted as subject data), behavioral data, etc.
2. Design of process
Different management systems, different business scenarios. The requirements for process design are different, so there are different levels of process design.
The process design of general CMS is relatively light, mainly the content review process. However, for the creation of more complex content, process design will be more important.
For example, the production of TV programs for TV stations involves many people and a lot of work, so the process design here will be more complicated.
For OMS, the process design part can be said to vary widely.
For a simple small independent online store, the process design of OMS is very simple, basically "to be paid, to be shipped, shipped, completed".
However, for large e-commerce companies, OMS process design is very important. It will involve the entire e-commerce supply chain and will be associated with WMS and TMS (some OMS directly include parts related to WMS and TMS).
